Extremely Aggressive, Uneducated and Rough

They're talking about my ghost

Cos that person died a long time ago

Buried, cremated, they'll never know

Once upon a time, indeed I was all three

Kicked out of school at 13, angry at the world, rough as sandpaper

That was me

Today, I am the complete opposite

Smooth, educated and I can keep my cool

I had the last laugh, now who's the fool?

A pauper progresses in life

Makes something of themselves

We cheer on the underdog.

A privileged person loses it all

Shame and guilt washes through them

We cast them in to the fire to burn.

Can you avoid judgement?

Can you see the person inside?

I’ve been a pauper, a politician, a poet.

Would you know it?

Look and see!

Listen and hear!

What do I seem?

Say what you mean!

Mean what you say!

Don’t say it mean!
